This project is an eight-page accordion-style fact book about soup dumplings, designed to be engaging for all ages through interactive elements.
The structure was central to the concept. Instead of traditional double-sided printing, each side was printed separately and folded down the center, creating a concealed pocket within the spine. When fully extended, the reverse side reveals a continuous red surface, giving the book a bold, unified visual moment.
The interactive components were built directly into the form. One spread uses acetate paper layered over a printed base, allowing a pull-out insert to simulate sauce filling a dish. Another section invites the reader to pull both ends of the book to reveal hidden content, turning the act of reading into a tactile experience.
The project focuses on typography, layout, and print construction, using physical interaction to reinforce storytelling rather than relying solely on imagery.
